A Day Hike, Up Fish Hill

God's creation is always a great place to go when you have the opportunity, and today we had a couple of extra hours to spare and we decided to go on a hike with our kids. The location of the hike is called, "Fish Hill" just on Northwest side of the city. They call it fish hill because of the white, "Christian" style fish that is on the side of the hill. Unfortunately we didn't get a picture of that, but all the pictures below are from our hike. Enjoy!!!

Random Pics from our Cutlure Events

A very important aspect of living in Mexico and learning the language is doing things called, "Culture Events". Basically what that means is that we go out into the community and do different, culture related things. While doing them we can observe and take notes on how Mexican people interact with one another.
Today we went to a Dulceria, which is basically just a big candy shop, but also a place where you can get most of the things that you would need to have an awesome party...for kids!!!
The other pics on here are from just a few of the "culture events" we have done. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!

Does anyone need some snacks?

Trying to cut back....don't worry these are just candy!!!

In case you couldn't tell....those are really big...notice the "Super Gigante". Aaron is in the back showing you what it would be like to play a game of Chubby Bunnies with those!!!

FROM HERE ON OUT, THESE AE JUST RANDOM PICS FROM OTHER CULTURE EVENTS!

Chihuahua is a city of over a million people!

Something might be wrong here...but maybe not!!!

Where did I put that outlet???

Yes, gas is high here too, but don't worry most people drive cars!!!

Need a ride?

The sign is talking about chips people!!!

Once again, thanks for visiting, and we hope you enjoyed the pics. If you would like us to do more explaining please let us know, and we will add it in.

La Sierra

Yesterday we got to enjoy a wonderful day away from the city. We love the wilderness and being able to get out into God's creation. Majalca state park, was the site of these pictures and because of all the rain it was beautiful up there. Trees, flowers, grass, and wildlife were just a few of the things that we got to experience.

Our good friends, and future partners, the Eversons also joined us. They love the outdoors as well, and really enjoyed this trip. Countless times during our time in Majalca comments were made about needing to get back out there to camp. Needless to say, we are planning a trip for the near future!!!

Enjoy the pics!!!

The families on our hike! In order from left to right (Caleb, Eliana, Kiera, Lisa, Beth, and Baby Mabri)

Jeremy

One of the routes we climbed while in Majalca.

Just a little battle scare from the climb in the picture before this one!

Jeremy at the top, cleaning it and then coming down. I lead this route, and took home a nice reminder of it (pic above).

A sampling of the natural plant life out in Majalca.

Jeremy and baby Mabri

Faith, our sweet German Shepard, yes that is right a long haired German Shepard and she is about 11 months old.

The kids playing in the creek. In order from left to right (Kiera, Jonas, Eliana, and Caleb)

Caleb on the hike, with his walking stick.

Getting to where we parked, and then explored, requires driving through a river bottom, and part of our adventure out at Majalca was helping two trucks get unstuck!!!

More pics of the natural plant life!

The house and barn of one of the Ranchers that lives near Majalca.

We hope you enjoyed the pics, as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Thanks for visiting!
